It was only playable through making multiple ISOs and patching them together previously on PC and in america at all. And being the first official english port with the new rules and lootsets. That one was definitely worth $40 after playing it and seeing how good it looks in modern resolutions with the new lighting. I felt $50 was a tad too high (gmg saved me though). That's how you encourage companies to act like EA.įF12 TZA was a remaster, not a straight up copy run through an emulator, so it did justify a higher pricetag.

Don't be fooled into thinking they had to hire an entire team and pay thema full salary just to appropriate some open sourced emulator and make some watered down steam compatible version so you could run a game people already got working on emulators almost 20 years ago alone and in their spare time. It would likely be done with emulation on steam, like some of the old sega and snes games. For no more than $30 though, remember it is over 20 years since even cross was made. I guess the fan translation is pretty much as close to it as you will ever get.īut if that came coupled with cross, I would grab the combo. What I would like to see is radical dreamers, officially translated but there are likely some copywrong issues there sinc eit was a nintendo satellite game and they of course had deals to stream those games with some other company and god knows if they outsourced some of the game development or even just the script would kill it probably. On it's own merit, it was a decent game though. I did like the gameplay and all, but it wasn't really a great follow-up. But I never liked it a smuch as the original, and it didn't really feel like a sequel in anything other than name. Haha, not worth $40 to me personally, in 2018. Now what if there was games you just can't get your hands on, and they never port it to the future platform? Well that's the problem, and still falls under being illegal for downloading a ROM of it.
